Financial Services Associate at The Oak Holdings

Responsibilities: 

• Candidate will be a critical member of the investment team and will support other members of the deal team, primarily but not exclusively through financial analysis. 
• Provide initial investment review and screening of prospective investment opportunities for the firm as well as tracking of the firm’s investment pipeline. 
• Perform extensive financial modeling including sensitivity analysis to support potential investment opportunities. 
• Conduct due diligence on prospective transactions.
• Actively involved in deal sourcing.
• Preparation and presentation of Investment Recommendations to the Investment Committee. 
• Participate in negotiations on behalf of the firm for new investments dealing with partnership arrangements, financing arrangements.
• Work with investment analysts to monitor assets within the firm’s portfolios including review of monthly financial & operating reports. 
• Establish and maintain relationship within the industry to enhance visibility of the firm and its portfolio companies in the marketplace. 
• Maintain internal database of potential investments. 

Skills & Qualifications required

• Highly analytical 
• Decision making/Critical Thinking 
• Extensive financial modeling skills and experience in Excel 
• 3-5 years previous transaction experience in venture capital or private equity is highly preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
• Clear and concise writing and presentation skills 
• CFA/MBA is not a must but an added advantage
