Job Profile

• As the Financial Controller, you hold the top financial position in the organization. This position is responsible for tracking cash flow, financial planning, analysing the company’s financial strengths and weaknesses and proposing strategic directions in cooperation with other members of the Executive Committee and Board Committees

Responsibilities 
The functions are summarized below:

• Provide financial direction, planning, and accounting to the business, covering the short-term and long-term financial goals of the organization
• Oversee the commercial decision-making from margin analysis, pricing analysis, etc.
• Provide financial advisory to the management to guide formulation of the financial policy and business strategy; ensure that all financial policies, procedures, and systems are in place
• Fundraise for the company looking at the optimal best value proposition of debt and equity.
• Ensures that optimal liquidity is available to deliver business plans by allocating resources, managing cash flow, and advise on financial and business risks.
• Reviews working capital/cash flow requirements on a regular basis
• Monitors all financial activities for the Company for optimal running of the business
• Develops plans, budgets, forecasts and financial results to guide management decisions by forecasting requirements, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action with focus on return on investment
• Responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting in line with statutory and regulatory financial reporting requirements.
• Ensure adequate controls are installed and maintained to cover all financial transactions including safe guiding the company’s assets
• Oversee the finance and accounting professionals who perform operational functions
• Reporting to COO and Board Committees

Education and Work Experience Requirement

• A Minimum of First Degree (HND / BSc) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Economics
• Must be a chartered accountant
• 8-10 years’ work experience.
• The last 5 years must be in an executive management role within a structured business environment.
