Financial Controller - Cintrust Microfinance Bank at CapitalSage Technology Limited

Job Objective

To manage funds and other financial activities of the bank and make financial information available to users.

Job Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements & reports
• Reviewing of Bank reconciliation statements : All outstanding issues to be trashed out
• Reviewing of daily postings into the General Ledger
• Creation of General ledgers for new transactions and Banks.
• Rendition of statutory returns (CBN, NDIC, CAC etc.)
• Budget preparation and allocation
• Expense monitoring & control
• Liaising with statutory bodies and government agencies such as (CBN, NDIC, PAYE, WHT, VAT)
• Liaising with compensation officer, internal control & external auditors
• Liaising with Banks of finance related issues
• Attends to various meetings such as: Management meetings, Credit review,
• Credit Appraisal and general purpose meetings.
• Computation of depreciation and amortization
• Preparation of salary journal and posting
• Reconciliation of bank books and records: prepayment, sundry creditors, sundry customers etc
• Maintenance and updating of fixed assets register and schedule

• Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Accounting, Finance or Equivalent.
• ACCA, ICAN, MCP and any other relevant certifications.
• A minimum of six (6)years post-qualification experience out of which at least four (4) years must have been in the financial service industry and at least, two (2) at the senior management level.
