Financial Analyst at MacTay Consulting

Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site role for a Financial Analyst for our client in Lagos.
• The Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial planning, analyzing financial data, preparing financial statements, financial reporting, and assisting in finance-related tasks to support the organization's financial goals. This role requires a strong background in financial modeling, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
• The Finance Manager will work closely with senior management to provide insights and recommendations that drive business performance and support the company’s strategic objectives. 

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Modeling and Forecasting:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance comprehensive financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
• Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to inform strategic decisions and assess potential risks and opportunities.

Financial Analysis:

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.

Performance Management:

• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the financial and operational performance of the company.
• Develop and implement performance management frameworks to ensure alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
• Work closely with department heads to track performance against budgets and forecasts, providing actionable insights to improve business outcomes.

Budgeting and Planning:

• Lead the annual budgeting process, coordinating with various departments to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
• Monitor budget adherence and provide variance analysis to management on a regular basis.

Strategic Support:

• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that support FibreWorld’s growth objectives.
• Provide financial input for strategic initiatives, including new product launches, market expansion, and capital investments.

Risk Management:

• Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the company’s financial health and sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Requirements

• Financial Planning and Analytical Skills
• Experience in preparing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting. 3 years minimum experience.
• Strong background in Finance
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software
• ICAN/ACCA certified.
