Financial Analyst / Accountant at HandyPros

Job Summary:  

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Analyst to support the organization in financial planning, analysis, and forecasting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, identifying trends, creating financial models, and delivering actionable insights that support decision-making and strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):  

• Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenues, expenses, and profitability.  
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets.  
• Conduct variance analysis between actuals and budgeted/forecasted figures.  
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.

Reporting:  

• Prepare and present regular financial reports to management, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.  
• Generate ad-hoc reports and dashboards for various departments.  
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.

Data Analysis & Strategy:Monitor key financial and operational metrics.  

• Analyze trends in sales, expenses, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).  
• Support business units with data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.  
• Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.

Compliance & Controls:  

• Assist in ensuring compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and procedures.  
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and analysis.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:  

• Work closely with other departments (e.g. operations, marketing, HR) to align financial goals with business strategy.  
• Serve as a financial partner in strategic initiatives and special projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or MBA is a plus).  
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or ACCA (preferred but not mandatory).  
• 5–10 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, or related roles.  
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.  
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).  
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.  
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
