Financial Accountant at Total Child School

Description 

• We are looking for a diligent financial accountant to be responsible for supporting decision-making and overseeing of financial information. The financial accountant's responsibilities include producing budgets, overseeing tax payments, and conducting internal audits.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
• Conducting internal audits.
• Responsible for the production of the company's financial report
• Overseeing tax payments and reporting.
• Preparing budgets for the organization.
• Preparation of monthly financial reports covering balance sheet, profit and loss, internal management reports and cashflow statements
• Completion of the monthly accruals, journals, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules.
• Monitoring and reporting on accounting inconsistencies.
• Keeping up-to-date with financial policies, practices, and regulations.
• Complying with state and federal tax regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Accounting, Economics or Finance Degree from a reputable tertiary institution.
• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role in a School.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a senior or management position.
• Candidate must be ACA/ICAN Certified.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software, especially ERP.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping competencies.
• Excellent mathematical and Analytical skills.
• Time management skills.
