Finance Operations Business Support Analyst at MacTay Consulting

Job Responsibilities

• Review and process staff advances, claims, and retirement requests in compliance with established internal controls and policies.
• Process and post all payables and receivables within the monthly reporting timelines.
• Provide responses to queries raised by staff via email as well as provide support physically and virtually.
• Preparation of accrual and monthly schedules
• Reconcile and post journal vouchers and other financial transactions in the ERP system and resolve all reconciling items promptly
• Reconciliation of bank statements, as well as unprocessed payments
• Implement finance policies as well as guarantee compliance with established internal controls, Processes, Policies and Procedures, IFRS, IAS, and GAAP in processing all transactions.
• Relate with other divisions and departments on expenditure and fixed assets-related issues
• Conduct in-depth analysis to identify specific trends, explain past performance and recommend opportunities for improvement, within the division

Requirements

Education:

• First Degree in any discipline, but a finance-related degree is desirable.
• Part qualification in any recognized professional accounting examinations (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, etc) will be an added advantage.
• Fluent in English

Experience:

• 3 - 7 years of experience in an area of specialization; with experience working with others
• Experience working in a medium organization
• Experience in using an ERP system is desirable
