Job Summary

• The Finance Officer plays a crucial role in the finance department by providing support in financial management and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and records.
• This position requires strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Process financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, expense claims.
• Review and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, including regular bank reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns and other financial compliance requirements.
• Support in the preparation for audits and coordinate audit activities as required.
• Assist in financial analysis, including variance analysis and financial forecasting.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support in decision-making processes.
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and financial systems.
• Stay updated on financial regulations, laws, and best practices to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements.
• Respond to finance-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and systems.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., ACA) is an added advantage.
• Proven experience in finance or accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and accounting practices.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
