Job Summary

• As Finance Manager, you will undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, and budget and forecast preparation. You will drive tax management/administration and performance management, amongst others while acting as a consultant to the CFO and other Senior managers alike.

Job Details

• Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures  Manage outsourced functions 
• Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner 
• Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable 
• Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly 
• Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed 
• Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis 
• Maintain the chart of accounts and manage GL for accuracy 
• Oversee management of tax- VAT, WHT, PAYE. Liaise with the company’s tax consultant, auditor and regulators for efficient tax management 
• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions 
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management account for management and regulators.
• Issue timely and complete financial statements.
• Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.
• Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.
• Monitor and measure financial performance within the company.
• Oversee the collation & recording of performance information and provide assurance that these are recorded appropriately.
• Champion continuous finance process improvement within the company.
• Provide regulatory reports to the compliance department for rendition.
• Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Finance.
• Professional certifications (CFA, ACA, ACCA) are an added advantage
• Experience working in an Asset Management firm is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
