As Finance Manager, you will undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, and budget and forecast preparation. You will drive tax management/administration and performance management, amongst others while acting as a consultant to the CFO and other Senior managers alike.

Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures Manage outsourced functions
Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner
Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable
Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly
Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis
Maintain the chart of accounts and manage GL for accuracy
Oversee management of tax- VAT, WHT, PAYE. Liaise with the company’s tax consultant, auditor and regulators for efficient tax management
Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management account for management and regulators.
Issue timely and complete financial statements.
Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.
Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.
Monitor and measure financial performance within the company.
Oversee the collation & recording of performance information and provide assurance that these are recorded appropriately.
Champion continuous finance process improvement within the company.
Provide regulatory reports to the compliance department for rendition.
Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Finance.
Professional certifications (CFA, ACA, ACCA) are an added advantage
Experience working in an Asset Management firm is required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
