About the job
Our client: A leading FMCG multinational in Africa.
Your role: Ensure transparent financial management of the country organization. Drive efficiency in business operations to improve profitability and reduce risk. Member of the CU leadership and MU functional leadership teams. Participating in the development of the overall country strategy including the business model, sourcing, and organization set-up. Effectively managing the planning process in accordance with global/regional standards as well as monitoring budgets and the financial implications of company’s activities. Leading all planning, forecasting, and reporting processes for the affiliate as part of the management unit. Ensuring data collection in the dedicated country as basis for the accounting activities in the shared service center. Work with the IT team members to ensure that IT costs for the unit can be optimized. Execution of local legal and tax topics in the dedicated country to ensure compliance with company and external requirements. Executing global risk management processes on local level to ensure compliance with global/regional requirements. Ensure usage of business consulting tolls and supporting MU Finance Head as well as the country manager in financial and tax issues and offering adequate solutions by providing knowledge and expertise. Lead in the management of performance of the Finance team in the CU.
Must Haves: University degree in Professional Accounting Certification ICAN, ACCA. Or International Equivalent. 10 years’ experience in Finance. At least 2 years’ experience at a Management/ Head of Department level
