Finance Manager at First Equitorial

Job Objectives

• The job-owner is primarily responsible for coordinating the company's financial reporting, internal controls, and tax administration functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports in compliance with the IFRS reporting standards. Also oversee the uploading of the financials on the Odoo platform
• Prepare comprehensive financial forecasts, budgets, financial performance, and variance analysis.
• Support the finance team in the generation of regular financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate implementation of effective financial & cost management structures
• Support the implementation of the organization’s strategic plan in a way that advances the company's mission and objectives and promotes revenue enhancement and company profitability.
• Provide support during the annual external audit process, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, Sales & Marketing etc) to support strategic initiatives.
• Compliance with tax requirements and support the tax consultants in resolving tax issues.
• Compliance with other regulatory requirements as it relates to a publicly listed entity.

Functional Competencies / Requirements

• Minimum of eight (8) years accounting experience
• Experience in the preparation of group accounts/consolidated financial statements is a must. Applicants that do not have experience in this area need not apply.
• Must be a chartered accountant with at least eight (8) years hands on experience.
• Experience with a reputable 3rd tier local accounting firm or big 4 firm is desirable.
• However, candidates with quality experience with a Publicly listed company (Plc) or a Group of companies would be highly considered.
• Must be confident in the use of accounting software such as SAP, SAGE, Odoo etc.
• Must be versatile in the use of Microsoft excel and PowerPoint.
• Self-starter, well organised and knowledgeable in accounting standards/regulatory requirements

Requirements: 

• Bsc in Accounting, Finance etc and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria
