    Finance Manager

    Job Summary

    • The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the organization's financial operations, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, internal controls, and statutory compliance.
    • The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulations and be able to effectively manage the company's tax obligations and liaise with relevant tax authorities and external auditors.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee the day-to-day financial and accounting operations.
    • Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
    • Prepare budgets, forecasts, cash-flow projections, and financial analysis.
    • Monitor income, expenditure, receivables, payables, and cash flow.
    • Ensure proper bank and general ledger reconciliations.
    • Develop and maintain effective financial controls and accounting procedures.
    • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards.
    • Ensure timely filing and payment of statutory taxes, including VAT, WHT, CIT, PAYE, and other applicable taxes.
    • Monitor changes in Nigerian tax laws and advise management on their financial implications.
    • Prepare and review tax computations and supporting schedules.
    • Liaise with tax consultants, auditors, and relevant government authorities when required.
    • Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
    • Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
    • Provide management with financial information and recommendations for effective decision-making.
    • Supervise, mentor, and develop members of the Finance and Accounts team.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
    • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in Finance/Accounting, with managerial or supervisory experience.
    • Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, regulations, and statutory compliance.
