    Finance Manager

    ROLES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the company.
    • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
    • Monitor and evaluate financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and propose corrective actions.
    • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
    • Present financial information to stakeholders, such as senior management, investors, and board of directors.
    • Coordinate the budgeting process, working closely with department heads and managers to develop realistic and achievable budgets.
    • Monitor budget utilisation and variance analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial efficiency.
    • Manage cash flow, including cash forecasting, monitoring receivables and payables, and optimising working capital.
    • Implement effective cash management strategies to ensure sufficient liquidity for the company's operations.
    • Identify and assess financial risks, such as currency fluctuations, interest rate changes, and market volatility.
    • Develop risk mitigation strategies and policies to protect the company's financial assets and minimise exposure to financial risks.
    • Ensure compliance with financial laws, regulations, and company policies. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
    • Conduct internal audits and collaborate with external auditors during the audit process.
    • Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
    • Delegate responsibilities and ensure timely completion of financial tasks.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and operational teams, to understand their financial needs and provide financial insights and guidance.
    • Liaise with external stakeholders, such as banks, investors, and regulatory authorities, to build and maintain positive relationships.

    QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS

    • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is typically required.
    • Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered
    • Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) are preferable.
    • At least 10 years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, or financial management roles, preferably in the telecommunications industry or a related field.
    • Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial management practices.
    • Familiarity with financial analysis techniques, budgeting processes, and cash flow management.
    • Understanding of telecommunications industry dynamics and relevant financial considerations.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to analyse financial data, identify trends, and develop insights.
    • Ability to interpret financial reports and make data-driven recommendations.
    • Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
    • Ability to present complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities to lead a finance team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to make sound financial decisions and provide strategic guidance.
    • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reports and compliance with regulations.
    • Strong numerical and analytical skills to identify errors or inconsistencies in financial data.
