Dev-Afrique is seeking a Finance Intern to join our Finance team. This internship opportunity provides hands-on experience in financial management and advisory. The candidate will have the chance to work in a hybrid environment, contributing to impactful initiatives across various sectors. A successful candidate is someone who can multitask, cooperate, and communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Support the Finance team in day-to-day financial operations.
Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with all policies, especially financial and procurement policies, and all applicable financial laws and regulations, including taxation laws.
Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports.
Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
Collaborate with various project teams on project-related financial matters.
Engage in financial data analysis and reporting.
Requirements
A minimum of a first degree in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, or a related field
Professional certification such as ICAN is an added advantage.
Understanding of treasury accounting, including FX, liquidity, and cash flow.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Sage, QuickBooks, or related software.
Ability to design financial reporting templates.
Excellent analytical, research, communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
High levels of discretion with good people management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
Good use of initiative, high ethical standards, professionalism, and diplomacy.
