We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Associate to support day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, account reconciliation, and financial analysis.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in finance and accounting principles, must have relevant certifications, consulting experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to contribute to both operational and strategic financial activities.g budgeting, reporting, account reconciliation, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, and internal financial records.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities and provide data-driven insights to improve financial performance.
Assist with audits, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Process invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Coordinate with other departments to gather financial data and improve reporting efficiency.
Contribute to the improvement of financial processes, controls, and systems.
Stay updated on financial regulations and trends relevant to the organization.
Qualifications
HND/BSc in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance, accounting role and consulting
Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and reporting practices.
Must have certifications (e.g ICAN ACA)
Proficient in MS Excel and financial/accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
