Finance Analyst at BFREE Africa

We are seeking a detail-oriented finance analyst with two years of experience in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting. Proven track record of leveraging analytical skills to support decision-making and enhance financial performance. Proficient in using advanced Excel functions, financial software, and databases to develop insights and streamline processes. Adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting findings to stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Gather and input financial data into spreadsheets and financial systems.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Support the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of financial models for scenario analysis.
• Monitor and track company expenses to ensure they align with the budget.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and insights that support business decisions.
• Provide administrative support for finance-related tasks, such as maintaining financial records and organizing documents.
• Provide accounting and financial technical assistance to internal teams or management.
• Respond to requests for specific financial reports or data from internal teams or management.
• Assist in preparing financial and operational reports, as well as presentations, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Help ensure financial practices comply with relevant regulations and standards.
• Assist with investment deal structuring and monitoring.
• Work under the supervision of senior analysts, supporting more complex financial tasks and projects.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Minimum of a student member of a professional body
• 3-4 years of experience in business finance or related areas.
• Strong knowledge of auditing and reporting.
• Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Well-developed IT skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong work ethic, independence, and positive attitude.
• Advanced computer skills, with expert knowledge in spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
