As our Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance of customers’ solar/energy systems. You will handle operations and maintenance activities in your cluster ensuring energy availability and customer satisfaction.
You will:
Handle the day-to-day operations and maintenance of solar installations across your assigned cluster to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably.
Handle routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on solar PV systems, inverters, and batteries.
Conduct site visits to resolve customer issues, optimize system performance, and provide hands-on troubleshooting when needed.
Provide technical expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues related to solar panels, inverters, battery storage systems and other energy systems.
Work with the project management team to handle installations, commissioning, maintenance, and repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
Handle acceptance tests for deployed solar solutions and systems
Ensure zero instances of service disruptions, being largely accountable for service uptime in your cluster. Ensure excellent customer experience for clients in your cluster.
Ensure that all operation and maintenance activities performed at client locations comply with best-in-class standards and practices.
Perform site assessment and load analysis on prospects' facilities where required.
Ensure 24/7 availability for emergency callouts.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
You'll be a good fit for this role if you have:
Minimum of a B.Eng/B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in solar systems and electrical wiring.
Good technical knowledge, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to learn and work on changing and emerging technologies.
Ability to build an environment and relationship of trust and credibility with customers, to best promote Arnergy in the local market.
People-management skills.
Ability to evaluate and target potential customers.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
