    Fiber Engineer

    Job Overview

    • The Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer at Linkorg Network Limited is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing radio frequency systems and networks.
    • This role is crucial for ensuring efficient communication systems that meet the growing demands of mobile and wireless services.

    Job Duties / Responsibilities

    • Design and develop RF systems to support wireless networking and communication within the IT infrastructure.
    • Utilize simulation and modeling tools to design RF circuits, antennas, and other components.
    • Implement RF solutions to improve network performance and reliability
    • Conduct thorough testing and validation of RF systems to ensure optimal performance.
    • Use specialized test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators to troubleshoot issues.
    • Identify and resolve RF interference issues and optimize system performance.
    • Collaborate with IT and network teams to integrate RF systems with existing IT infrastructure.
    • Optimize RF systems to enhance network coverage, capacity, and efficiency.
    • Develop and implement strategies to minimize downtime and improve system reliability.
    • Ensure all RF systems comply with relevant regulatory standards and industry best practices.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of RF designs, testing procedures, and maintenance activities.
    • Stay up-to-date with advancements in RF technology and industry regulations.
    • Manage RF-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, network engineers, and IT support.
    • Provide technical support and expertise during project planning and execution.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
    • 4+ years of experience in fiber optic network design, installation, and maintenance, preferably within the ISP industry.
    • Proficiency in fiber design, fiber optic splicing, testing, and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Experience with fiber optic equipment, such as OTDRs, fusion splicers, power meters, and light sources.
    • Strong understanding of FTTH, FTTx, and other fiber optic network architectures.
    • Familiarity with networking protocols, standards, and equipment.
    • Certifications in fiber optics, such as Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) or equivalent
    •  Experience with GIS mapping software and network design tools.

    Requirements:

    • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineer or a related field.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proven experience as an RF engineer in telecommunication or a similar industry.
    • Strong knowledge of RF principles, propagation models, modulation techniques and antenna theory.
    • Proficiency in using simulation tools such as CST Microwave Studio or HFSS.
    • Must be well-organized, presentable, and punctual
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
