Job Description:

As a production manager at Marvee, your job involves ensuring production runs smoothly. Planning, coordinating and controlling the manufacturing processes to deliver excellent quality garments, to meet production timelines.
Responsibilities and duties

• Oversee the production process, supervising and motivating the production staff.
• Monitoring product standards and implementing quality control programs.
• Drawing up a weekly production schedule, ensure products are produced on time and are excellent in quality.
• Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules when needed.
• Drawing up an estimated cost sheet (market list) weekly for production, Ensuring production cost is effective.
• Sourcing, ordering and purchasing production materials from the market, or online vendors weekly or monthly as the case maybe.
• Manage human and material resources to meet production target.
• Conduct fittings and properly document fitting issues. Relate fitting issues to production team for onwards correction.
• Suggest sewing, patterning and cutting techniques to production staff to achieve design.
• Assisting production staff with daily tasks

Draping

• Reviewing the performance of production staff, recommend for layoff, training, or promotion
• Relate design specification to production staff and ensure that these specifications are met.
• Package made clothes for shipping or delivery

Stock Keeping

• Take record of each production staffs task and liaise with the accountant for their pay.
• Liaise with the creative team and customer service team for client’s detailed design brief and specifications.
• Implement the company’s policies and goals

Skills

• Must have a full understanding of garment construction (start to finish); that is patterning, cutting, draping, sewing and the difference sewing techniques to achieve design.
• Must be meticulous in record keeping, production schedule, time management and then eye for detail And quality products.
• This person must be charismatic

• Ability to motivate a team
• Must be MS office proficient
• Google workspace and calendly proficient.

Experience:

2- 10 years experience required.
