Factory Manager (Abeokuta) at ReelFruit

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

• Plan and schedule production activities to optimize resources, minimize downtime, and meet customer demands.
• Monitor production processes, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
• Implement best practices for process improvement, waste reduction, and overall production optimization.
• Monitor production output, analyze performance metrics, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest product quality and compliance with food safety regulations.

Quality Assurance:

• Enforce strict adherence to quality control procedures and standards throughout the production process.
• Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to maintain consistent product quality and safety.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to address any product quality or safety issues.

Resource Management:

• Optimize resource utilization, including raw materials, labour, and machinery, to maximize production output while minimizing costs.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, inventory levels, and resource consumption.

Team Management:

• Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to the production team, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement
• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Set performance objectives, conduct performance evaluations, and identify training needs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
• Train, mentor, and develop staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and performance.

Health, Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards in the workplace.
• Develop and implement safety training programs to educate employees on best practices and emergency procedures.
• Investigate and document any workplace accidents or incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent a recurrence.

Maintenance and Equipment Management:

• Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule and oversee routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of production equipment.
• Ensure all machinery and tools are in proper working condition to minimize downtime.
• Liaising with maintenance technicians and external vendors to promptly address equipment issues and repair needs.
• Oversee the procurement of spare parts and consumables to ensure an uninterrupted production process.
• Coordinating preventive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns and downtime.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare and present regular production reports, performance metrics, and analysis to senior management.
• Identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement and propose actionable solutions.
