    Facility Officer

    Location: Ode-Remo

    The Facility Officer will be responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, and overall management of the company’s premises, ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. The role involves supervising facility operations, coordinating cleaning and gardening services, managing vendors, and ensuring that all facility-related systems and infrastructure are in optimal condition to support manufacturing operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee daily facility operations including cleaning, landscaping, and waste management.
    • Supervise in-house and outsourced cleaning and gardening personnel to ensure high performance standards.
    • Plan and coordinate regular maintenance, repairs, and inspections of facility assets.
    • Ensure that office spaces, production areas, and outdoor environments are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
    • Manage inventory and supply of cleaning materials, gardening tools, and maintenance equipment.
    • Liaise with contractors and service providers for facility-related services (electrical, plumbing, pest control, etc.).
    • Conduct routine inspections of the premises to identify facility issues and ensure prompt resolution.
    • Enforce compliance with company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, vendor performance, and facility expenses.
    • Provide periodic facility reports to management and recommend improvements for efficiency.

    Job Requirements

    Education & Qualifications:

    • OND/HND/B.Sc. in Facility Management, Estate Management, Environmental Science, or related field.
    • Certifications in Facility Management, HSE, or Environmental Sanitation are an added advantage.

    Experience:

    • 3–5 years of proven experience in facility management, with background in cleaning operations and gardening/landscaping (preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting).
    • Experience supervising cleaning and maintenance teams or contractors.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong leadership and supervision skills.
    • Good knowledge of cleaning procedures, gardening practices, and maintenance operations.
    • Ability to manage budgets and facility resources efficiently.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of hygiene and safety.
    • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and facility management software is an advantage.
