    Facility Manager

    Job Summary

    • The Facility Manager will beresponsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and efficiency of the company’s manufacturing plant, warehouse, and office facilities. This role ensures that all physical assets, utilities, and support services operate smoothly to support uninterrupted furniture production and distribution.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing facility, including factory floor, warehouses, and office spaces.
    • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for machinery, equipment, and building infrastructure.
    • Ensure proper functioning of utilities such as power supply, water systems, HVAC, and waste management.
    • Coordinate repairs and maintenance of carpentry machines, upholstery equipment, and finishing tools.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Implement workplace safety policies and conduct regular safety inspections.
    • Monitor fire safety systems, emergency preparedness, and evacuation procedures.
    • Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
    • Source, negotiate, and manage service providers (cleaning, security, maintenance, waste disposal, etc.).
    • Optimize space utilization for production, storage, and office operations.
    • Maintain records of company assets including machinery, tools, and facility equipment.
    • Monitor energy consumption and implement cost-saving initiatives.
    • Prepare and manage facility budgets, including maintenance and operational costs.
    • Oversee facility security systems, access control, and surveillance.
    • Ensure safeguarding of raw materials, finished goods, and equipment.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Implement waste reduction and recycling initiatives (wood, foam, fabric, etc.).
    • Ensure proper disposal of industrial waste and compliance with environmental standards

    Qualification/Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Facility Management, Estate Management, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in facility management, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
    • Experience in furniture production or related industries is an advantage.
    • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and industrial manufacturing equipment.
    • Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
    • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure in a production-driven environment.
