    Facility Electrician

    Job Description

    • As a Facility Electrician, you will play a vital role in ensuring our facilities safe and efficient operation. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, with a primary focus on safety and compliance.

    Key Responsibilities
    Electrical Systems Maintenance:

    • Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and power distribution.
    • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and ensure safe operations.
    • Respond to electrical emergencies and perform troubleshooting as needed.

    Installation and Upgrades:

    • Install, replace, and upgrade electrical components, fixtures, and equipment.
    • Follow electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards during installations.
    • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel for coordinated work.

    Safety Compliance:

    • Ensure that there are no electrical bypasses in our facility.
    • Promote a culture of safety and adherence to best practices in electrical work.
    • Conduct safety assessments and implement safety measures when necessary.
    • Check for signs of overheating in electrical panels or cables
    • Ensure that cooling is adequate in the panel room

    Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of electrical repairs, maintenance, and installations.
    • Collaborate with the facility management team to document electrical assets and inventory.
    • Check meter reading and recording
    • Record all the readings in the facility

    Emergency Response:

    • Be on-call for emergency electrical issues and respond promptly to resolve problems.
    • Identify potential electrical hazards and address them in a timely manner.
    • Ensure the availability and functionality of backup power systems.

    Collaboration:

    • Work closely with other maintenance and facility management staff to address cross-functional issues.
    • Provide guidance and support for other maintenance personnel regarding electrical matters.

    Requirements

    • Interested candidates should possess an SSCE qualification.
