Export Clerk at CargoExtra Logistics

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Loading, unloading, and moving freight between delivery and storage areas as instructed.
2. Adhering to weight restrictions, as well as stabilizing and guiding lifted freight with slings and hooks.
3. Performing routine safety checks on freight handling equipment and adhering to safety regulations.
4. Check export documentation to determine freight contents, scanning, documenting, and marking items for identification.
5. Determine the method of shipment and prepare invoices and other shipping documents.
6. Direct or participate in freight loading to ensure completeness of load and even distribution of weight.
7. Install straps, braces, and padding to loads to prevent shifting or damage during shipment.
8. Coordinate and supervise activities of workers engaged in packing and shipping merchandise.
9. Attach address labels, identification codes, and shipping instructions to merchandise.
10. Notify consignees or customers of the arrival of freight or baggage, and arrange for delivery.
11. Keep and submit records of all goods shipped, received, and stored.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum BSc or its equivalent in the related field. 
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Export Clerk.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management software.
