Experienced Upholsterer at VAVA Furniture

Responsibilities

• Apply sacks to required products.
• Install springs, webbing, and rubber for all products.
• Cut and apply foam and adhesives to sofas.
• Perform proper couching to ensure comfortable seating.
• Handle pillow pouching, including fiber puffing into pillow calico and backrests.
• Foam headrest templates to create well-shaped designs.
• Stretch and install fabric or leather coverings.
• Stitch, glue, and nail fabric securely in place.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a minimum of a High School Leaving Certificate.
• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as an upholsterer.
• Proficiency with electrical and manual tools, including electrical tacking guns and rulers.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and design templates.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent design skills.
• Knowledge of upholstery tools, including hot knives, nail guns, and sewing equipment.
• Good communication skills in English.
