    Executive Secretary

    Job Responsibilities

    The successful candidate shall be expected to perform the following functions:

    • Provide administrative support to the Institute's leadership
    • Coordinate preparations for meetings, conferences, workshops and events; iii. Manage communication channels and ensure effective information flow;
    • Liaise with stakeholders and government bodies.
    • Report to the National Secretary on all administrative and secretarial duties;
    • Conduct general supervision of all secretariat work of the Institute including staff supervision;
    • Serve as the Secretary of the Management Committee of the Institute, and attend National Executive Committee and National Council Meetings; and,
    • Undertake other duties that may be assigned to him/her from time to time by the Management of the Institute, and as directed by the National President or National Secretary as the case may be.

    Requirements
    Candidates for the position of Executive Secretary must possess the following requirements:

    • The Executive Secretary shall be a Registered Town Planner with not less than Twelve (12) years of post-registration experience with current practise license, and shall have a tenure of four (4) years, renewable only once after satisfactory service in the first tenure.
    • Qualification in Public or Business Administration and experience on similar or equivalent position(s) will be added advantage.
    • He should possess strong organizational and multitasking abilities; Proficient in ICT application as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Should be familiar with contemporary issues in urban and regional planning.

    Conditions of Engagement

    • The position of Executive Secretary is tenured for four (4) years, renewable for another term of four (4) years upon satisfactory performance of duties as determined by the Management Committee of the Institute.
