Executive Accountant at Leverage Seeds Limited

We are looking for a smart & ambitious Executive Accountant to provide support to the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances.

Preparing financial statements, Profit & Loss, Balance-sheet, Supplier reconciliation and reporting are a large part of the Senior Accountant’s day-to-day work. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.

The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition. This way it can make the right decisions and accomplish long term success.

Job Details

• Monitor the financial information system to ensure that timely and accurate information is provided for managerial decision making.
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Reconciliation of the payables with the suppliers’ statements.
• Sound knowledge about bank reconciliation
• Good knowledge of vendor management
• Ensure vendor invoices and payment requests are reviewed and paid in accordance with authorization and approval policies
• Prepare and monitor cash flow projections and associated records to determine the optimum use of funds or the need to raise additional revenue.
• Provide full accounting services, including the preparation of estimates, budgetary control and final accounts for a cost centre
• Process the reimbursement for multiple offices. Back-office accounting system update on daily basis with accuracy.
• Experience with E-commerce background would be at advantage.
• Prepare monthly trading accounts, Profit and Loss, balance sheet for cost centre activities to ensure that financial targets are met and to assess the need for any remedial action.
• Develop and maintain all other necessary controls and processes to ensure that legal and financial requirements and regulations are complied with.
• Prepare statistical returns and financial analysis on a range of topics for internal and external use.
• Oversee the administration of any loans and repayments, including maintaining liaison with lenders.
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

Desired Qualification

• BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field. ACA, ACCA or CIMA is a plus but not required·
• Min 3 years Proven experience as an Executive Accountant
• Extensive knowledge of reconciliation and other methods of resolving account discrepancies.
• Excellent organizing abilities & skills.
• Great attention to details.
• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen.
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software
