    Events and Attraction Manager

    Job Description

    • The Events and Attraction Manager oversees programmatic support and administrative coordination of all strategies, programs, processes, and events that help to achieve the Church’s vision in all Branches under their purview.

    Key Result / Responsibility Areas
    Leadership:

    • Responsible for overseeing the organization, supervision, direction, and collaboration of all programming Ministries; Production, Events and hospitality, Worship and music, and Creative handled by Programs Coordinators across the Church's Branches
    • Able to provide visionary and creative leadership to all Programs Coordinators that coordinate the program ministries in a way that honors God, upholds the church’s mission statement, and supports the Senior Pastor’s leadership.
    • Overseeing Program Coordinators that have oversight of but are not limited to: Music, Drama, Dance, Tech, Broadcast, guest services, stage, lights, and the programming of all services.
    • Having oversight over Program coordinators that build and train teams/team leaders across all areas of programming ministries as well as pastor the Workers.
    • Monitor Program Coordinators that work with staff, pastors, ministry leaders, and Ministry Committees to provide timely and accurate communication with the congregation and community regarding ministry opportunities.
    • Maintain a centralized record of church ministries and activity.
    • Oversees the Coordinators that provide regular training for ministry leaders, staff, and volunteers on issues such as effective discipline, coordinated communication, cultural competency, and church policies.
    • Monitor the preparation of expense budget for the ministry by program coordinators in all Branches and operate within its limit.
    • Oversees Program Coordinators that ensure all necessary church documentation/inventory are up to date (i.e. contracts, receipts, forms, etc.)

    Quality of Service:

    • Oversees Program Coordinators who ensure that our services and events are well planned, coordinated and executed by coordinating the activities of all units involved to produce great output
    • Oversees the Coordination of the activities of the service and program teams to achieve the church’s objectives by Program Coordinators.
    • Oversees the Program Coordinators in all branches who organize the media, creative and music needed for all church services and programs.

    Pastoral Support:

    • Supports Coordinators that direct pastoral care of key team leaders.
    • Supports Coordinators that conduct pastoral care meetings.
    • Supports Coordinators that conduct pastoral phone calls.
    • Supports Coordinators that promptly resolve any issues among team members.
    • Facilitate support for members of the programmes team.

    Administration and Reporting:

    • Review weekly reports of the different Branches
    • Monitors all Branches Preparation of budgetary needs for the Department for approval
    • Oversees the preparation of a concise report that informs and allows the Pastorate make informed decisions.

    Competency and Skill Requirements
    Academic Qualification and Work Experience:

    • Degree in Social Sciences / Management / Arts or any other related field.
    • A Master's Degree or MBA will be an added Advantage
    • Must have 8 - 10 years’ work experience in a related environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and social media web platforms.

    Personal Skills:

    • A committed born-again Christian, with a personal and active relationship with God
    • Must have strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with a strong attention to detail.
    • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Strong organizational, partnership, and leadership abilities
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong self-motivation, with ability to manage personal workload with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to translate strategies into action.
    • Must have clerical leadership abilities.
    • Strong writing and public speaking skills.
