Job Summary

• The Event Decorator is responsible for designing, planning, and executing visually appealing decorations for events such as weddings, corporate functions, parties, and other special occasions.
• They ensure that the event's theme and client preferences are reflected in the décor while maintaining high standards of creativity and professionalism.

Job Description

• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, theme, and budget for the event.
• Create mood boards or sketches to present decoration ideas and concepts.
• Recommend color schemes, materials, and design elements suitable for the event.
• Source and arrange decorative items such as fabrics, centrepieces, lighting, flowers, and furniture.
• Oversee the decoration setup, ensuring everything is arranged according to the plan.
• Coordinate with other vendors (florists, lighting technicians, etc.) for seamless execution.
• Ensure decorations are maintained throughout the event.
• Supervise teardown and ensure the removal of all decorations post-event.
• Prepare cost estimates and work within the client’s budget.
• Negotiate with suppliers to source materials at competitive prices.
• Communicate effectively with clients to address changes or preferences.
• Manage a team of assistants or workers to execute large-scale setups.
