Etiquette and Refinement Coach at Pershing Hills Elementary

Role Description

• The Etiquette and Refinement Coach is a full-time, on-site role based in Lekki.
• The coach will design and deliver age-appropriate lessons on social etiquette, communication skills, personal grooming, and respectful behavior in classrooms and small groups.
• Daily tasks include collaborating with teachers to integrate refinement and social skills into classroom routines, observing learners and providing feedback on manners and interpersonal interactions, and organizing role-play activities, workshops, and school events that reinforce positive behavior.
• The coach will communicate with families and staff to promote consistent etiquette expectations, maintain records of learner progress, and support a school culture of kindness, confidence, and courtesy.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in teaching, coaching, or mentoring children in Early Years and Elementary settings.
• Ability to model and teach social etiquette, communication skills, and personal grooming in a culturally sensitive manner.
• Excellent interpersonal, classroom management, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience designing structured lessons, activities, or programs that support social and emotional development.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for engaging learners, colleagues, and families.
• Demonstrated patience, empathy, and professionalism when working with diverse learners and staff.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field; training in etiquette or social skills coaching is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a school environment or youth development program is preferred.
