Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in grammar, comprehension, composition, and literature.
• Use modern teaching methods and ICT tools to enhance learning outcomes.
• Guide students in analyzing prose, poetry, and drama for examinations and appreciation.
• Prepare lesson notes, schemes of work, and continuous assessment records.
• Support students in developing confidence in oral and written communication.
• Integrate Islamic morals such as honesty, modesty, and respect into learning activities.
• Encourage debate, reading clubs, and creative writing projects.
• Provide regular feedback to students and parents.
• Participate in staff training, departmental meetings, and school events.
• Maintain high academic standards and discipline in the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills

• B.Ed. or B.A Degree in English, English Education, or related disciplines
• 3 - 5 years experience teaching English at secondary level.
• PGDE or TRCN certification preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of WAEC/NECO and IGCSE standards.
• Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills.
• Committed to moral and academic excellence.
