English Teacher at Ogunlade Schools

• We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our secondary school in Surulere.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for English education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage and inspire students.
• The English Teacher will be responsible for creating an engaging learning environment, delivering effective lessons, and fostering a positive attitude towards English Language among secondary school students.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Create lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom that aligns with our comprehensive curriculum.
• Conduct effective and engaging English lessons for secondary school students by utilising various teaching methods and resources to ensure understanding and retention of mathematical concepts.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
• Administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress.
• Provide constructive feedback to students on their performance and offer support for improvement.
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a conducive learning environment.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
• Communicate regularly with the principal to provide updates on students' progress and discuss strategies for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree/Higher National Diploma/NCE/PGDE in English Education or related field
• Proven experience as an English Teacher in a secondary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of secondary-level English curriculum and instructional methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for fostering a positive attitude towards mathematics among students.
