Electrician Technician at LinkOrg Networks

Job Summary

• We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Technician to join our team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment used in our broadband infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in various environments.
• Candidates residing in Surulere, Oshodi, and Iyana Oworo axis will be given priority consideration.

Key Responsibilities
Installation and Maintenance:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment for broadband and internet services.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical components to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Installation of Inverter systems at base stations.
• Routine maintenance of industrial generators. E.g 40kva and 60kva Gen sets.

Troubleshooting and Repair:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues related to internet service equipment.
• Repair or replace faulty electrical components, wiring, and equipment.
• Work with field technicians to resolve customer service issues related to electrical systems.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct safety checks and risk assessments on electrical systems and equipment.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Prepare detailed reports on work performed, including issues encountered and solutions implemented.
• Update and maintain technical documentation and manuals.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with other team members, including network engineers, field technicians, and customer service representatives.
• Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and customers as needed.
• Participate in training and development programs to stay current with industry trends and technologies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Technology, Electronics, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an electrical technician, preferably in the telecommunications or internet service industry.
• Experience with the installation and maintenance ofboth electrical and industrial generator systems

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuitry.
• Proficient in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Certifications:

• Certification as an Electrical Technician or Electrician is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to work in various environments, including customer premises, outdoor locations, and confined spaces.
• Physical ability to lift and carry equipment, climb ladders, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
