Job Summary

The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment used in the production processes. The role ensures continuous and safe operation of electrical components, machinery, and control systems within the manufacturing facility of Vitafoam Nigeria Plc.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and production machines.
• Repair or replace faulty electrical components to minimize production downtime.
• Diagnose electrical faults in production machinery and plant equipment.
• Identify root causes of electrical failures and implement effective corrective actions.
• Respond quickly to electrical breakdowns during production.
• Monitor electrical control panels and ensure they function correctly.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations to ensure safety and reliability.
• Monitor power supply systems, generators, and distribution boards.
• Work closely with mechanical technicians, engineers, and production staff to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Provide technical support during production and maintenance activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

• OND, Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years practical experience as an Electrical Technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
