Job Description

• We are seeking a reliable and experienced Electrical Technician to ensure the efficient operation of our facility’s electrical systems and maintenance processes.
• The successful candidate will play a crucial role in preventing electrical malfunctions, performing repairs, and maintaining critical machinery and systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of electrical equipment to identify and address potential issues before they lead to downtime.
• Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on critical machinery to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain detailed logs of machine downtimes, identifying causes and tracking durations for accurate reporting.
• Regularly calibrate and test sensors, switches, and control devices to prevent malfunctions.
• Ensure spare parts for critical machinery are readily available to minimize repair times.
• Organize tools and emergency kits, keeping them easily accessible for maintenance needs.
• Perform quick checks on safety equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Review and prioritize daily maintenance tasks, ensuring completion of all scheduled maintenance activities.
• Follow standard operating procedures and use checklists to ensure maintenance tasks are thorough and accurate.
• Report any issues encountered during maintenance to the supervisor immediately.
• Conduct daily audits for electrical inefficiencies and leaks, addressing any problems identified.
• Document all completed work orders and report delays or issues to management.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field; diploma or certification in Electrical Maintenance or Industrial Technology is also acceptable.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, machinery, and components used in FMCG production.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues efficiently.
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automated processes.
• Familiarity with electrical safety codes, regulations (e.g., OSHA), and best practices.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures meticulously.
• Physically capable of performing tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, when required.
