Electrical Technician [Industrial] at Pally Agro Products Limited

Job Purpose

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for the installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of all industrial electrical systems and automated production equipment. The role is critical in ensuring uninterrupted factory operations, power reliability, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting on industrial machines, panels, generators, motors, switchgears, and control systems.
• Diagnose electrical faults and implement solutions across hatcheries, feed mills, processing lines, cold rooms, and automated poultry systems.
• Install, configure, and maintain industrial electrical panels, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and three-phase power systems.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to plan and execute shutdown maintenance activities with minimal downtime.
• Ensure compliance with NAFDAC/SON safety standards, energy conservation best practices, and company’s biosecurity protocols.
• Interpret single-line diagrams, control circuit diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Keep accurate logs of work performed, parts used, and maintenance timelines using the company’s CMMS (if available).
• Support in electrical upgrades, automation projects, and electrical audits.
• Adhere to lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures and other safety systems.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of HND in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
• At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in industrial or factory electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting, automation, control systems, and industrial power distribution.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced production environment.
• Must be safety conscious and follow all regulatory and internal SOPs.
• No domestic-only experience will be considered. Preference is for technicians from manufacturing, agro-processing, food production, or power plant sectors.

Work Environment

• Exposure to loud machinery and electrical systems.
• Must adhere to strict biosecurity measures, particularly when working within breeder/rearing farm units.
• Regularly required to work in shifts, during weekends, or on public holidays, depending on operational demands.
