    Electrical Technician

    Summary

    • The Museum of West African Art (MOWAA) is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our Facilities Management team.
    • This roles are critical to ensuring reliable power, security, and technology systems that support our world-class museum facility, staff, and visitors.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, panels, and power networks.
    • Troubleshoot and repair faults on power panels, distribution boards, wiring systems, UPS, and control panels.
    • Install and commission electrical wiring, components, and systems.
    • Monitor and record power meter readings to track energy usage, detect abnormalities, and support efficient power management.
    • Ensure compliance with safety codes, maintain logs, and support emergency power operations.

    Requirements

    • SSCE/OND/HND/BSc in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
    • 2–5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance in commercial/industrial facilities.
    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
    • Relevant safety/electrical certifications are a plus.
