    Electrical Supervisor

    Responsibilites

    • Lead and supervise a team of Electrical Technicians and other personnel, assigning tasks and monitoring their performance.
    • Interpret engineering drawings, single-line diagrams, and electrical schematics to plan and execute work.
    • Oversee the installation, testing, and maintenance of all electrical equipment, including motors, generators, power distribution systems, and lighting.
    • Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications.
    • Coordinate with other discipline supervisors (e.g., Instrumentation, Mechanical) to ensure smooth integration of work activities.
    • Prepare and manage work permits, risk assessments, and other safety documentation for all electrical tasks.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during construction or maintenance.
    • Maintain a detailed record of all work performed, including daily reports, man-hours, and material usage.
    • Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to team members.
    • Ensure all team members adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

    Requirements

    • A relevant professional certification or technical degree in electrical engineering is required.
    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical work, with at least 4 years in a supervisory role specifically in an offshore oil and gas environment, with a proven track record of working on the Bonga FPSO.
    • Proven experience with electrical systems for maintenance, construction, and turnaround projects.
    • The candidate must hold valid offshore certifications such as BOSIET, OSP, and a valid medical certificate.
    • This position requires working in a challenging offshore industrial environment on platforms or vessels.
    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and motor control.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage and motivate a team.
    • Strong ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documents.
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Thorough knowledge of electrical safety procedures and industry codes (e.g., IEC, API).
    • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
    • Willingness to work in a demanding offshore environment.
