Electrical Project Engineer at Megawatts Nigeria Limited

Job Description

• We are looking for a well-grounded and innovative project engineer who willoverseeall aspects of an assigned project, including planning, budgeting, and logistics.
• He will spend time at the job site ensuring work is completed efficiently with no errors or negative impacts on the timeline.
• The Project Engineer also provides feedback to all team members and facilitates communication throughout the project’s lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Maintain logs and supervise RFIs, Daily Reports and Submittals on web based program.
• Negotiate and maintain relations with vendors and subcontractors.
• Support Project Manager with electrical project establishment and closeout.
• Perform electrical developments executing quality, operation and safety enhancements to firm’s production lines.
• Conduct design of electrical engineering, parameters and review.
• Ensure to make decisions related to electrical engineering principles application to operation problems and requirements proposed.
• Perform with technical specialists like electrical engineering, process and automation to resolve complete requirement.
• Develop and review of complex electrical project calculations.
• Prepare documented design inputs.
• Review design inputs and review of engineering drawings.
• Prepare and review equipment along with material parameters.
• Prepare reports and study existing technical information clearly and precisely to attain client requirements.
• Participate in project electrical work plan development.
• Prepare BOQ and project executions.
• Guide project installation and commissioning on final load testing

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or relevant Technical Degrees.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP Consulting or MEP firm.Experience in HVAC and Extra low voltage systems will be an added advantage.
• Must be proficient in the use of Auto-CAD (2D and 3D Designs). Knowledge of Solid works will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages.
• Shop drawing , as built drawing design
• Very good in English
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
• Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work independently as well as part of an effective team.
