Electrical Maintenance Manager at First Excelsia

Our client, a World Class Recreation Centre is looking to fill the role below:

The ideal role holder will be responsible for managing all installations, repair and upkeep operations of the company’s facilities including maintaining machinery, planning repair activities, and developing maintenance procedures.

The position holder will oversee the duties of the Electrical team. This will include leading, hiring, co-ordinating, motivating and training team members to meet the required performance standards.

Job Description:

• Oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including emergency or incident response
• Define and implement safety standards meeting regulations for electrical wiring
• Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
• Plan and manage all repair and installation activities
• Ensure all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
• Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates
• Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs
• Oversee equipment stock and place orders for new supplies when necessary
• Track expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance
• Troubleshoot equipment problems in a timely manner to avoid delays and standby time
• Provide technical advice, support and guidance to Electrical staff and escalating issues when necessary.
• Undertake quality assessments and providing instructions to rectify any snagging, defects and/or uncompleted works.
• Assist with training and development of electrical staff
• Test electrical systems with oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and ohmmeters.
• Conduct maintenance repairs on old or faulty electrical fixtures.
• Implement energy-efficient schedules and technologies, including green lighting systems
• Collaborate with service providers to implement service systems

Person Specification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical engineering, Facility Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-10 years experience as an Electrical Maintenance Manager or similar role preferably in a Recreational Centre
• Strong knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
• Demonstrated experience in supply management, including inventory control and procurement is required
• Demonstrably high level of technical understanding
• Strong organisational and analytical skills
