Electrical Fitter at Benin Electricity Distribution Plc. (BEDC)

Job Description

• Maintenance and overhauling of all power distribution equipment, including circuit breakers and transformers, as per the standard checklist.
• Carry out mechanical fitting and assembling works relevant to power distribution equipment, and machine or fabricate parts for such equipment.
• Preventive maintenance of injection substation equipment and its accessories Repair of 11kV and 33kV circuit breakers
• Locate and repair faults in electrical power distribution equipment, installations and control circuits.
• Maintenance of RMU bushings to increase the load on the feeders. Oil treatment of power transformer and distribution transformer Reduction in feeder outage period by quick response to faults Use safety equipment, personal protective equipment and other equipment.
• Transfer skills to any apprentice and semi-skilled worker to ensure safety and quality of work. Correctly use and maintain power tools  

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE, Trade test, OND in Electrical Engineering or any related field
• A minimum of 2-5 years of work experience in a similar role Highly goal-oriented and possess excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
