Checking protection settings in soft start and Variable Speed Drive (VSD) control units.
Carry out firmware upgrades in soft start and Variable Speed Drive (VSD) control units as required.
Propose the modifications required for the safe and reliable operation of the Soft Start and Variable Speed Drive (VSD) units.
Provide SOW and Bill of materials required to execute the modification.
Upon COMPANY approval, the Specialist shall supervise the execution of modifications.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors in Electrical, Instrumentation & Control System Engineering.
Minimum 10 Years of experience in the installation, troubleshooting, repair, modification, configuration/setting change, testing, commissioning, and startup of MV / LV Soft Starters, and Variable Speed Drive Units.
Must have knowledge of Soft Starters, and Variable Speed Drive Units ( Rockwell & VECON ).
Good interpersonal skills and exposure/experience to Offshore platforms.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Willing to work on short-term (2 weeks) - medium-term (6 months) commissioning/services
