Electrical Engineer at Primestix Construction Limited

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop electrical design plans.
• Design electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Create electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the procurement and installation of electrical components and equipment.
• Conduct electrical load calculations, energy efficiency analysis, and fault current calculations.
• Perform site visits to verify electrical installations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with design plans and safety standards.
• Collaborate with other engineers to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems with other building systems.
• Stay updated with industry standards, advancements in electrical engineering, and regulatory changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's Degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in the construction industry, preferably with experience in residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and standards.
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with electrical load calculation software and energy efficiency analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Must reside in Abuja.
