    Education Administrator

    Job Description:

    • We are seeking a dynamic and organized individual to fill the role of Education Administrator.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth daily administration of our educational institution.
    • The Education Administrator will oversee various departments and units within the organization, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise Heads of all Units, ensuring efficient daily operations and reporting to the Administrator.
    • Encourage staff participation in relevant seminars, conferences, and workshops to stay updated on global best practices.
    • Conduct regular virtual meetings to discuss Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis for continuous improvement.
    • Collaborate with the Association of Universities Professional Administrators for insights and best practices

    Departmental Oversight:

    • Human Resources Department: Responsible for recruitment, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
    • Appraisal Unit: Develop and review principles for staff performance appraisal.
    • Academic Planning Unit: Maintain quality assurance, plan academic calendars, develop curriculum, and analyze statistical data.
    • Academic Affairs Unit: Process student admissions, issue academic transcripts and certificates, advise students, and service the Senate/Academic Board.
    • Student Affairs Unit: Handle student welfare matters, including disciplinary actions.
    • Senate/Academic Board: Oversee academic decisions and appeals.
    • Public Relations/Information Unit: Disseminate administrative information and policies to the public.
    • Bursary Unit: Manage budget, income, expenditure, payroll, and advances.
    • Welfare/Passages: Administer leave matters and passages for offline staff.
    • Medical Unit: Provide medical services for offline staff.
    • Registry Department: Ensure proper record-keeping and confidentiality of all records.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Education Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • Proven experience in educational administration, preferably in a university setting.
    • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Knowledge of relevant regulations and policies.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
