Job Summary

• An Early Years Teacher, also known as a Nursery School Teacher or Early Childhood Educator, isresponsible for fostering the development of young children (typically ages 3-5).
• This involves planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons, creating a safe and stimulating learning environment, and building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• They also assess children's progress, collaborate with other educators, and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Development and Delivery: Planning and implementing engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that promote learning and development in areas like language, literacy, math, science, social skills, and physical development.
• Creating a Positive Learning Environment: Establishing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that fosters positive behavior and encourages exploration, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Building Relationships: Developing positive and supportive relationships with children, their families, and colleagues, fostering open communication and collaboration.
• Assessing and Monitoring Progress: Observing, assessing, and documenting children's learning and development through various methods, providing feedback to parents and caregivers, and using this information to inform future planning.
• Collaboration and Professional Development: Working collaboratively with other teachers, specialists, and school personnel to develop and implement effective early childhood programs.Staying current with best practices and trends in early childhood education through professional development opportunities.
• Safeguarding Children: Ensuring the safety and well-being of children, including adhering to child protection policies, maintaining a healthy and hygienic environment, and addressing any potential health or safety concerns.
• Personal Care: Assisting with personal care needs of children, such as nappy changing, dressing, feeding, and toileting, as needed.
• Individualized Learning: Assisting in the development of individualized learning plans for children with special needs and providing appropriate support.
• Promoting Social and Emotional Development: Guiding children to develop self-identity, teaching necessary skills, and fostering positive social and emotional behaviors.
• Communication: Effectively communicating with parents and caregivers about their child's progress, needs, and any concerns.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of children's progress, assessments, and other relevant information.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 2-10 years work experience.
