About the Job

• Blue Phoenix Deepwater Limited, a leading indigenous provider of subsea diving, underwater inspection, repair, and maintenance services for offshore and nearshore floating assets in the oil, gas, and marine industry, is partnering with Stena Drilling, a leading international drilling company to recruit personnel for a long-term offshore deep-sea drilling project in Nigeria.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Control all Drilling Operations performed during their shift in a safe and efficient manner
• Ensure the drilling operation is carried out as defined in the approved Operator's Instructions and Drilling Programme, and the operation is executed in accordance with Stena's Drilling Operation Manual and RSWMs
• Seek continuous KPI improvements as per the KPI efficiency programme where applicable
• Report directly to the Toolpusher any deviations from approved Operator's Instructions or Drilling Programme
• Responsible for ensuring the Drilling Crew perform Planned Maintenance on drilling equipment thoroughly and that it is recorded on the PM sheets
• Responsible for all lifting activities on their assigned well center or area
• Never leaves their post without the authority of the Toolpusher
• Must regularly liaise with the Bridge regarding the station keeping capabilities of the rig where applicable.

Required skills and experience

• Previous experience working on a duel operating ram rig
• 8 years relative experience
• Good communication skills
• IWCF Well Control - Level 3 Driller.
