Documentation Officer at IAL Nigeria Limited

Job Purpose: To ensure that all required documents for import processes are adequate and available

Other Job Functions

• Handle all shipping documents from pre-alert phase to delivery phase
• Collect new documents from the international Coordinator or the Operations Manager
• Verify and confirm whether documents are corrects or not.
• Liaise with International Coordinator or Operations Manager to rectify irregularities
• Open and label file for documents received
• Capture SGD on customs site
• Register job file both manually and electronically
• Calculate duty payable and inform clients through the International Coordinator/Client Services Unit
• Relate with shipping line and customs office to resolve issue relating with shipment
• Confirm vessel movement from shipping company
• Correct and effect amendment on documents from shipping company
• Perform other assigned functions.

Skills and Requirements:

• Minimum of HND or B Sc.
• Membership of relevant professional bodies
• Deep sense of honesty and integrity
• Attention to details
• Prior experience in similar position is desirable
• Good communication skills (oral and written)
