Distribution Planning & System Integration Lead at Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company

• As a Distribution Planning & System Integration Lead, you will be responsible for driving long-term distribution network planning and system integration initiatives that support capacity expansion, asset optimization, and system reliability.

You’ll contribute to:

• Leading long-term load forecasting and network modelling exercises to guide investment proposals and system improvement initiatives.
• Identifying and prioritizing distribution projects using data analytics and benefit scoring methodologies to ensure economically justified execution.
• Overseeing bid-level engineering designs, technical drawings, and system integration plans to ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
• Reviewing and approving technical specifications, project reports, equipment selections, and detailed project sanctions in collaboration with technical leadership.
• Supporting the preparation of network expansion and refurbishment proposals aligned with regulatory frameworks and strategic growth objectives.
• Conducting site visits and system studies to assess network performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement routine enhancement initiatives.

Minimum Requirement

• This opportunity is a Managerial role; the complexity of this role requires close collaboration across Planning, Technical Services, Projects, Business Units, and other relevant Functions to drive effective network planning and system integration outcomes.
• The role reports directly to the Coordinator, Network Planning. Successful applicants will typically possess the following criteria:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• A postgraduate degree will be an added advantage.

Work Experience:

• A minimum 8-10 years of relevant work experience within the power sector.
