Dispatch & Fleet Coordinator at Najec FMCG Limited

The Role

You will be the single point of coordination where loading, driver time and delivery routes meet.

Owning the daily roster end to end, you will sequence warehouse loading, balance workload across the fleet, and drive down delays — turning a plan on paper into trucks moving on the road.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and lock the next-day delivery roster against confirmed orders; assign vehicles to routes.
• Stagger warehouse load times to prevent bay congestion and morning dock queues.
• Run the daily loading sequence; ensure returned empties and crates are offloaded and reconciled before any reload.
• Track vehicles against plan through the day; flag and resolve delays, breakdowns and route overruns.
• Reconcile at close of day — trips completed, dock dwell time and empties returned.
• Own and report core KPIs: on-time dispatch, deliveries per truck, dock dwell time and fleet utilisation.
• Direct drivers and loading staff to keep dispatch disciplined and on schedule.

Requirements

• OND/HND or equivalent.
• Prior experience in FMCG distribution, haulage or depot/loading operations.
• Numerate and highly organised — able to think in sequences, constraints and priorities.
• Calm under pressure and assertive; comfortable directing drivers and loaders at short notice.
• Confident with spreadsheets and scheduling tools.
• Strong knowledge of Abuja/FCT routes is an advantage.
