Director of Administration at Bowen University

Responsibilities

• The Director of Administration shall be responsible to the Chief Medical Director for the day-to-day General Administration of the Hospital. He/She shall be the Chief Administrative Adviser to the Chief Medical Director.
• He/She shall be in charge of the Administration Department and shall also be responsible for the following:
  • Participate in Policies formulation, execution and review the Hospital Policies as may be directed by BUTH Management Board or the Chief Medical Director.
  • Coordinating the activities of other Departments in the Hospital.
  • Participate in Policies formulation, execution and review the Hospital Policies as may be directed by BUTH Management Board or the Chief Medical Director.
  • Coordinating the activities of other Departments in the Hospital.
  • Custodian of BUTH Management Board Minutes of Meeting and
  • other relevant documents.
  • Serve as the Secretary to the BUTH Management Board.
  • Perform any other functions as the Board or Chief Medical Director may direct from time to time.

Basic Requirement

• Basic criterial for shortlisting and appointment is that candidates must be of the Baptist Denomination.

Other Requirements:

• Candidates must possess a good First Degree in Health related disciplines, Humanities or Social Sciences.
• Possession of second Degree or any other relevant higher Degree would be an added advantage.
• Candidates must have not less than 15 years of Post-qualification
• Candidates must be a Fellow or Associate of the Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria (IHISAN) or any other relevant Professional body is an added advantage.
• Working experience in an Hospital or Health Sector is an added advantage. Competency in ICT is also an added advantage.
• Candidates present rank shall not be lower than an Assistant Director or equivalent.

Tenure of Office

• The Director or Administration shall hold office from the date of his/her appointment till attaining the mandatory retirement age of 60 years or 35 years of service.

Salary & Allowances

• Salary and Allowances will be in accordance with the approved salary structure by the Nigerian Baptist Convention/BUTH Management Board for this category of Officer.
